Launching Contractor Inductions

Last month we launched our contractor sign-in feature. This is a simple and effective way to track contractor access to your building.
We’ve seen some great results, but we’ve also heard from some of you that you’d like to see more.
Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added contractor inductions to the feature.
What’s an induction?
An induction is a process that contractors must complete before they can access your building. It’s a simple and effective way to ensure that all contractors are aware of your building’s rules and regulations.
Example Induction Items
- I agree to immediately notify the Building Manager of any accidents, near misses, or hazards
- I acknowledge I will not carry out works without holding current public liability insurance.
- I agree to always wear appropriate task-specific PPE
- I agree to use only safe, compliant tools and machinery
- I agree to keep workspaces tidy and free from obstructions and do not block emergency paths or tamper with doors
- If my work involves High Risk Construction Work e.g., working at heights, near electricity, or in confined spaces, I must provide a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) to the Building Manager before starting work and comply with the SWMS during the task
Fully Integrated
Contractor sign-ins are fully integrated with the rest of Onsite. In this way, you can link an ‘attendance’ to a Case, or Work Order, and include all sign in activities in reports.
What’s next?
We’re really excited about what we’ve achieved with our first iteration of this feature. In future updates, we’ll be expanding the capabilities to add support for induction processes, linking to invoices and more.
Getting Started
Contractor sign in is available to all Onsite customers 🥳.
Get started by going to the Settings > Induction menu. Click Download and print out the sign to display at your building.
Place the QR code in a visible location at your building and contractors can scan to check in.
